Today I installed the one, the only -- BORLA Premium stainless steel, cat-back, dual rear-exit exhaust system on the Motor City’s Ultimate F150! What an incredible addition to the project. The BORLA came packed very securely for its trip to Motown. I opened the box and was pleased to find a cool BORLA ball cap, instructions and a bunch of shiny stainless steel exhaust parts. The instructions were short, simple and to the point. Within minutes I had the factory exhaust off and was roughing in the BORLA. I took my time with several interruptions from small children but finally completed the install in about two hours. Since the factory exhaust was a single side exit, I was wondering how I was going to install two tailpipes in the rear. Not to worry, the BORLA engineers fabricated a cool stainless steel exhaust hangers that bolted to the rear spring perch very nicely. The stainless steel exhaust tips look incredibly well making this exhaust system noticeable even when the engine is not running. But as soon as the key is turned igniting the mighty FORD 5.4L V8, the BORLAs start doing their job -- a very cool, classy rumble with very little increase in cab noise. Having BORLA as part of this Ultimate F150 is a decision we are all very happy with. It has helped develop the character of this cool Motor City pickup. (See our PHOTO page for more images).
